We live in an amazing time of technological progress.  Every aspect of our lives, economies and societies is shaped by digital technology. However, technology is also creating disruption. To the point where we find ourselves asking: How do we leverage technology in and out of the institution to help shape the next generation? Institutions are faced with deciding which technologies to deploy and manage so students will have a successful learning and post-secondary experience. We will discuss how the Surface portfolio along with the power of Windows 10 are creating engaging and positive learning environments that fosters student/faculty productivity and collaboration.  


Jason Wilmot is Director of Device Sales for Worldwide Education. He is focused on worldwide device deals, driving  our Education device community of solution sellers and innovating on new Education programs to help Microsoft continue to grow as a leader in Education. He works directly with the various Business Group leaders, Account Executives and Partners to coordinate world class responses to large scale education device deployments.  

A recognized executive known for crafting custom deals that span devices, software and cloud services, Jason offers a unique blend of experiences tailored toward Education institutions. Jason spent time as a licensing executive at Microsoft supporting and negotiating complex Education and Local Government contracts. He has partnered with many top tier institutions over the years to help drive custom Microsoft solutions: University of Texas, University of South Florida, University of Washington, Ball State University, Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma. Jason has been with Microsoft since 2004. He has held a variety of leadership roles at Microsoft ranging from operations management, technical product management and sales leadership
