Atlantic Universities and Colleges Technology Conference - Wolfville, Nova Scotia

The Atlantic Universities and Colleges Technology Conference (AUCTC) is an annual meeting of IT professionals from Atlantic Canada’s post-secondary institutions. Acadia University is pleased to be hosting the 2017 conference from June 6 to June 8 in Wolfville, NS.

Conference participants are information technology professionals from Atlantic Canada’s universities and colleges. This includes directors, managers, technical and non-technical staff within the IT departments from each institution. We typically expect between 100 and 150 participants.

The AUCTC offers many valuable experiences. Most importantly, when participants come to the AUCTC they have an opportunity to share experiences and knowledge. Through a series of presentations and networking events, stories of innovation and lessons learned are told in an interactive forum. The event gives each attendee an unequalled chance to ask questions and build relationships that will last throughout their careers. The AUCTC brings the Atlantic Canadian higher education IT community together to share expertise and grow our collective capability.

This year our theme is Focus 360: Exploring Technology from All Angles.

We are very excited to announce our keynote speakers.

The Opening Keynote speaker is David Fraser, Canada’s leading internet, technology and privacy lawyer.  David regularly advises a range of clients – from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies – on all aspects of technology and privacy laws.

The Closing Keynote speaker is Bill Carr.   Bill is an actor, award winning satirist, writer, speaker and coach. For over twenty five years, Bill has been making people laugh at what’s trivial while helping them think deeply about what counts.
